Spin City Casino Review for New Zealand Readers

Spin City Casino (spin.city) has a big game lobby, works in the browser on all the main devices, offers an Android app and pays out in crypto. Where it falls down is regulation.

The homepage still claims a Curaçao licence, but Curaçao's registry dated 2 October 2026 lists that licence as revoked as of 12 August 2026. We found no local licence in Ontario, Germany or Portugal either. New Zealand isn't named in the restricted-country list we saw in the terms, but the casino claims no NZ licence and we haven't checked with the Department of Internal Affairs. The terms also include a 10% fee if a deposit isn't wagered 2× before withdrawal, caps of €5,000 a week and €15,000 a month, and an inactivity fee. Our view: approach with caution. This page is informational only. Below we cover what the official documents say, where they contradict each other, and what we couldn't verify.

Our verdict

In terms of product, Spin City Casino is well stocked: a large multi-provider lobby, live dealer tables, crash and scratch games, and a sports betting section, with withdrawals processed every day of the week. The fundamentals are another story. The licence it claims is listed as revoked, we found no local licence in the three markets we checked, and the terms contain rules that can cost players money or slow down access to it. Several official pages also contradict each other on basic figures. For a review meant to judge trustworthiness, those problems outweigh the size of the game library.

Pros

  • Large lobby: the counter shows 5,682 games, with sections for Megaways, Bonus Buy, crash, scratch and fruit pokies
  • Broad provider mix, including BGaming, Betsoft, Endorphina, Yggdrasil and Microgaming, plus live studios
  • Runs in the browser on Android, iOS and Windows, with an Android APK app
  • Withdrawals processed daily, including weekends and public holidays, with a stated pending period of 0–48 hours
  • Crypto withdrawals (USDT, Bitcoin) offered alongside bank transfer
  • Low €10 minimum deposit

Cons

  • The Curaçao licence is listed as revoked as of 12 August 2026, yet the homepage still claims it
  • Not listed with iGaming Ontario, Germany's GGL or Portugal's SRIJ; no NZ licence claimed
  • A 10% fee applies if a deposit isn't wagered 2× before withdrawal
  • Withdrawal caps of €5,000 per week and €15,000 per month; wins of €50,000 or more may be paid in 10 monthly instalments
  • Only bank transfer and crypto listed for withdrawals, with a €100 minimum by bank transfer
  • Official pages contradict each other on the game count, bonus figures, support channels and company number
  • A €5 monthly inactivity fee after 12 months without logging in

Who runs Spin City Casino

The terms of service set out a two-company structure. A Curaçao company is the contracting party and holder of the gambling services, while a Cyprus subsidiary runs the website. We found no founding date in the official sources.

Site operatorFaro Entertainment Europe Limited12 Demostheni Severi Av., Office 601, 1080 Nicosia, Cyprus; Reg. No. ΗΕ 425912; VAT 10425912J

There's a discrepancy worth flagging. The terms and the GCB certificate page both give Faro Entertainment N.V.'s company number as 142227, but the October 2026 Curaçao registry entry for the same licence shows company number 139031. The only terms we could read are a February 2025 PDF, so we can't say whether they're still current.

spin.city homepageStill says the casino holds an online gambling licence from the government of Curaçao

Put together, the official record shows the Curaçao licence the casino refers to is no longer active, and the homepage hasn't been updated to reflect that. A secondary source reports licences held by Limitex Ltd (Tobique) and Ascenda International SRL (Anjouan, ALSI-202507003-FI1). We couldn't confirm either on an official register, so we don't treat them as established.

Local licences in the markets we checked

  • Ontario: Spin City isn't on the iGaming Ontario operator list (accurate as of 1 September 2026), even though spin.city runs a Canadian (/en-ca) version.
  • Germany: Spin City isn't on the GGL whitelist of permitted operators.
  • Portugal: Spin City isn't on the SRIJ list of licensed entities.

The New Zealand position

We didn't check New Zealand's Department of Internal Affairs, and the casino doesn't claim a NZ licence. Under the Gambling Act 2003, overseas gambling can't be advertised in New Zealand, and a local online casino licensing regime is being introduced. Other registers we didn't check include ACMA (Australia), other Canadian provinces, Denmark's Spillemyndigheden, the Austrian finance ministry, Estonia's ESBK, Ireland's GRAI, Italy's ADM, the Slovenian regulator, Norway's Lotteritilsynet, Finland's Poliisihallitus, the full Spanish DGOJ list and Sweden's Spelinspektionen.

Country restrictions

Clause 2.1.4 of the terms bars residents of many countries from real-money play. The named countries include Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the UK and the US. New Zealand isn't among those named, although the clause says the list includes "many others". On top of that, there are provider-level blocks:

  • Clause 17.6: NetEnt games are blocked in Canada, Denmark, Italy, Portugal, Australia and other countries.
  • Clause 17.8: NetEnt Universal Games aren't allowed in Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Slovenia, Sweden and other countries.

Cyprus is on the restricted list even though the site operator is registered there. We weren't able to test how access is actually enforced by IP address.

Games and providers

The game library is the casino's strongest area, though even the headline number doesn't add up. The Top Picks counter shows "All (5,682)" games, while text on the same page says more than 1,500. The counter is probably closer to the live catalogue, but we can't confirm that. There's a fuller breakdown on our games overview.

The About page also names Yggdrasil and Pragmatic Play. Live and specialist content comes from studios including Switch Studios, Lucky Streak, Betgames and Kiron. The casino doesn't publish RTP figures in the material we reviewed, so check each game's info screen if you want that detail. Our pokies page looks at the slot range more closely.

  • Burning Coins 100 (Endorphina)
  • 3 Piggies of Bank (Yggdrasil)
  • Wild Cash (BGaming)
  • Book of Pharaoh
  • Temple Tumble Megaways
  • Genie Jackpots Megaways
  • Royal Mint Megaways
  • Book of Dead (used in homepage free-spin promotions)

Table games and live casino

The RNG table section covers blackjack, baccarat, roulette, poker and Andar Bahar. The live casino offers baccarat, roulette, poker and Wheel of Fortune, streamed in HD. Table limits for live games aren't published in the sources we reviewed. Note that live, table and video poker games don't count towards bonus wagering. More on our live casino page.

Mobile play and the app

Spin City Casino runs in the browser on Android, iOS and Windows devices. The native app is Android-only and comes as an APK download rather than through Google Play. There's no iOS app; iPhone and iPad users can add a home-screen shortcut instead. Installing an APK means allowing installs from outside your app store, which carries security risks. Details are on our app page.

Payments

Illustration of coins and a card representing deposits and withdrawals

The banking setup is lopsided: plenty of deposit options, but withdrawals only by bank transfer or crypto. All amounts in the casino's documents are in euros; we didn't find NZD figures, so any NZ dollar payment would involve currency conversion by your bank or provider. Processing times per method and maximum deposits aren't published. The table below lists the methods named on the site.

Bonus terms

We don't promote offers on this site. We cover bonus rules only because they show how fair the casino's terms are, and because the official pages contradict each other.

Conflicting welcome terms

The bonus page's promotion tiles and its own text disagree on the 3rd-deposit percentage (100% on the tile, 75% in the text). The bonus page text gives a 10 EUR minimum deposit, while the homepage ties the first-deposit offer to €20 or more and lists a separate €15 tier. The bonus page text also states 40× wagering, a maximum cashout of 200 EUR, validity of 5 days after registration, and that only slots count 100% towards wagering. Eligibility by country, including New Zealand, isn't published. In short, you can't rely on any single page to know which terms apply.

How the general bonus rules work

  • Wagering: 40× unless stated otherwise, meaning bonus money must be bet 40 times before it can be withdrawn
  • Maximum bet of €5 while playing with bonus money
  • Free spins expire after 7 days
  • The no-deposit bonus is valid for 7 days and limited to one per new player
  • No-deposit winnings are capped at €50 and need one deposit before withdrawal
  • Live, table and video poker games don't count towards wagering; some slots count 70% or 50%
  • Bonuses can't be stacked

Cashback and loyalty

Weekly cashback is 5%, calculated Friday to Friday and credited only if it comes to at least €5. A boosted 6% applies with deposits of €20 or more that week, but carries 15× wagering. It's paid on Fridays between 06:00 and 09:00 UTC (Friday evening NZ time). The VIP club lists Celebrity, Superstar and Icon tiers, while the homepage names Lord as the top loyalty status. These may be separate schemes; the site doesn't explain how they relate.

Customer support

  • Homepage: support day and night via live chat and email
  • Languages listed: English, German, Polish, Danish and Russian
  • About page: 24/7 live chat, phone and email
  • Not visible in our research: the actual support email address and phone number

Live chat is the one channel both pages agree on, so it's the most dependable route. Since we couldn't identify an independent regulator for unresolved complaints, keep copies of chat transcripts and emails. See our support guide.

Account terms worth knowing

  • Inactivity: after 12 months without logging in, a fee of €5 per month applies.
  • Verification: extra checks may apply once total withdrawals pass €2,000, and requested documents must arrive within 14 days.
  • Card checks: a €1 authorisation hold for 1–3 business days may be used to verify cards.
  • Large wins: €50,000 or more may be paid in 10 monthly instalments rather than in one go.

Responsible gambling

The sources we reviewed don't document the casino's own limit or self-exclusion tools, and without an active licence there are no regulator-backed protections we can point to. Gambling in New Zealand is for those aged 20 and over. Set a budget before you play, don't chase losses, and treat casino games as paid entertainment, not a way to make money. If gambling is causing harm, the Gambling Helpline is free and confidential on 0800 654 655 or at gamblinghelpline.co.nz. Our responsible gambling page lists warning signs and further support.

How we assessed Spin City Casino

This review draws on the casino's own pages (homepage, bonus, cashback, VIP, providers and About pages), its terms of service PDF, the Curaçao GCB certificate page and registries, and the public operator lists in Ontario, Germany and Portugal. We didn't open a real-money account, so we report no test deposits or withdrawals. Gaps that remain:

  • Current licence status beyond the Curaçao revocation
  • Any position taken by New Zealand's Department of Internal Affairs
  • Whether the February 2025 terms are still in force
  • Real access restrictions by IP address
  • Processing times per payment method and maximum deposits
  • Which of the conflicting bonus figures applies
